The mystery

There is one sentence behind that door. It is cut into 10 pieces, and a piece turns up now and then in somebody’s ending, at random, once.

Whoever gets a piece cannot keep it: it lands here, in public, for everybody. 0 of 10 have surfaced. There is nothing to win at the end, which is the joke and also the answer.

A heavy studded wooden double door, closed, set in a stone frame
Not the door. No photograph of the door exists, which is part of the problem.

What it says so far

Nothing of it has surfaced yet.
A door at the bottom of the Idrija mercury mine, opening onto a tunnel. Ten seconds, on a loop, going nowhere.

Every piece and who turned it up

  1. still behind the doorpiece 1
  2. still behind the doorpiece 2
  3. still behind the doorpiece 3
  4. still behind the doorpiece 4
  5. still behind the doorpiece 5
  6. still behind the doorpiece 6
  7. still behind the doorpiece 7
  8. still behind the doorpiece 8
  9. still behind the doorpiece 9
  10. still behind the doorpiece 10

Pieces cannot be bought.

They cannot be traded or guessed into existence either. The only way to turn one up is to stand in the line and get that particular ending.
